Jeep Grand Cherokee |
As an SUV enthusiast I have always loved the Jeep brand for its rigid build and the features SUV’s provide, once I had an experience with the Skoda Yeti, which just drew me off-track and changed the whole concept of Yeti which I had as a non-performing vehicle due to the design.
However, now I get to know the significant progress FIAT brand is making to get the Jeep Grand Cherokee to India, after its plan just a few months ago.
Jeep is an automobile marque of Chrysler, a multinational manufacturer in a global strategic alliance with Fiat. Jeep vehicles have been made typically for European market by the Chrysler Group. The vehicle from Jeep which will make an entry to India would be the Grand Cherokee, which is based on the Mercedes M-Class platform. Reports also say that Commander, Compass and Patriot vehicles and Chrysler could also drive in Dodge in future.
Jeep President and CEO Michael Manley say “We recognise that Indian customers appreciate good value and we are keen to provide that with our Grand Cherokee”.
