THE F12BERLINETTA unveiled exclusively on www.ferrari.com
The wait period is over as Ferrari unveiled their fastest car ever built, the car was unveiled online on 29thFebruary 2012. The car delivers exceptional performance from a new engine, combining innovative design that redefines classic themes along with extreme aerodynamics.
The F12BERLINETTA will be officially debuted at the Geneva International Motor Show.
F12BERLINETTA revolutionized Ferrari’s traditional transaxle layout to match the more extreme performance of the car. While, wheelbase has been shortened and the engine, dashboard and seats have been lowered in the chassis. The overall result is a very compact car with a lower centre of gravity and a level of aerodynamic efficiency that sets new standards for a supercar.
The F12berlinetta uses a 6.3 Liter naturally aspirated V12 engine which is shared with the Ferrari FF, producing 730 hp @ 8500rpm and 509 lb·ft @ 6000rpm, making it the most powerful road-legal Ferrari to date. This makes the prancing horse accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and in 8.5 seconds to a top speed of 340 km/h.
The F12berlinetta boasts impressive technical specifications like the latest generation carbon-ceramic brakes (CCM3) and the evolution of the magnetorheological suspension control system (SCM-E). As is now traditional with all Ferraris, its control systems (E-Diff, ESP Premium, F1-Trac, and high-performance ABS) are all fully integrated.
