Bentley Speed machine spotted

Bentley Continental GT Speed

With an awesome road presence, it was absolutely easy for us to spot the Bentley Continental GT, which was parked among several other beauties.

The Bentley Continental GT is a two door grand touring coupe that was released in 2003. It replaced the former Rolls-Royce-based Continental R and T.

The Bentley Continental GT Speed is packed with enormous power under its hood with a twin turbo 6.0-litre W-12 producing 600 hp (447 kW) and 553 lb·ft (750 N·m). With sufficient howling to showcase its power, this monster travels 0-60 in just 4.5 seconds. Those who require speed in the same league can also opt for a Lamborghini Murcielago with 571hp, Porsche 911 GT2 with 530hp, Ferrari F430 Scuderia with 503hp.

The GT Speed offers you the best combination of luxury, power and speed. Just a glance will be sufficient to believe in its true worth. The dash, center console and upper portions of each door are upholstered in dark gray leather with contrasting red stitching. The seats, part of the steering wheel are wrapped in leather with mild colour of blood. Its rich presence is a showcase of interior art and is eye catching.

The Bentley Continental R Spotted

Bentley Continental R
British automobile manufacturer, Bentley, is well known for building cars with utmost luxury. At one point of time, it was part of the Rolls-Royce ownership and had undergone its worst period in its history. In 1991, the Bentley Continental R was the first Bentley car to have its own dedicated body, and was not a Rolls-Royce twin. The Bentley Continental R was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1991 and was followed up with production in the following year. It also holds the distinction of being the on-site show car that was purchased by the Sultan of Brunei.

The Bentley Continental R is a large, expensive, luxury coupé and was the first to use the GM 4L80-E transmission. It was also the quickest, most expensive and the most powerful Bentley of its day.

The Continental R is equipped with a 6.75-litre Garrett-turbocharged engine from the Bentley Turbo R. It produces an enormous 325 hp (242 kW) and a torque of 450 ft·lbf (610 N·m). Top speed was 233km/h as estimated. The interior had a rich wood finish and several luxury amenities at the time.

The Bentley Continental R was considered to be the ultimate symbol of dynamics, with a heady mix of luxury and power. It reflected the royalty received by a Bentley customer.

Bentley Continental Flying Spur - Bangalore

The Bentley Continental Flying spur is a four-door saloon version of the Continental GT and blends the time-honored Bentley luxury and space with incredible performance. The 2.4-tonne car can accelerate from 0-60mph in less than five seconds and on to a top speed of 200mph. The Flying Spur costs more than a high-end Mercedes-Benz but considerably less than a Rolls-Royce or Maybach.

The Continental Flying Spur epitomizes the attitude of harnessing the monstrous performance of its 552bhp 6.0-litre W12 engine in reserve. The five-position dial permits a selection between sport and softer modes as the car cruises on its four-wheel drive transmission. It has contemporary quad-oval headlights, the unmistakable Bentley Grille and air intakes with chrome mesh grilles, profuse use of leather and wood, four-spoke steering wheel coupled with sufficient headroom and legroom deliver the genuine Bentley experience. The six-speed automatic with wheel-mounted paddles for manual shifting also comprises optional rear picnic tables, in-car DVD systems, 20inch rims and an aluminium facia trim in addition to its 475 litres of boot space, climate control, headlining, satellite navigation and electrically operated and heated seats.

The buyer of a Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed will not have to worry as he will have hands on an exclusive and luxurious car that is a mix of a limousine and a sportscar.
