KICKER Unveils New Mopar Audio Upgrade Kits for Jeep Wrangler and Ram Trucks

KICKER® is continuing its long relationship with Chrysler Group LLC and Mopar®, now providing high-performance audio upgrade kits for its 2011 Jeep® Wrangler and 2009-11 Ram trucks. Upgrades are available through Mopar at Jeep and Ram dealers across North America and online at http://www.mopar.com.

Jeep and Ram truck enthusiasts may now enjoy the newest high-efficiency amplifiers, the live-concert realism of KICKER coaxials and component speakers and the unmistakable thump created by 10-inch powered subwoofers. KICKER, a division of Stillwater Designs, is a 31-year industry leader in mobile audio.

Upgrade kits may be ordered with the vehicle or separately at the dealership. The Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) on the upgrades varies. Check http://www.mopar.com for details.

“Through Mopar, KICKER is proud to offer the newest, most innovative audio equipment to this important core group – Jeep and Ram owners,” said Chuck Jones, KICKER Director of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing).

These true plug-and-play audio kits vary from ground-pounding, 200-watt powered subwoofer upgrades featuring a patented KICKER square woofer in a custom-fit molded enclosure to those that include front-stage 6-1/2-inch coaxials, 6 x 9-inch woofers with 3-1/2-inch tweeters, and
rear-stage 6 x 9-inch coaxial speaker upgrades. Finally, 4.1-, 8-, or 12-channel amplifier upgrades provide all the power required to run the system in a Jeep Wrangler 2-door, 4-door, and Ram Quad Cabs and Crew Cabs. Each KICKER component has been precisely tuned and
balanced to match the superior performance and tough attitude demonstrated by Jeep and Ram vehicles. They cosmetically integrate into the Jeep Wrangler and Ram for a clean, factory-installed look.

KICKER has been providing high-quality aftermarket audio gear since 1980 with roots in performance sound equipment dating back to 1973. Known for legendary bass in mobile applications, KICKER is the manufacturer of the patented Solo-Baric® square-cone technology in a subwoofer. KICKER square woofers have earned numerous industry awards since their inception in 2000. This patented technology provides more cone area than a round subwoofer of like size, 16-to-20 percent on average. The square’s abundant cone area delivers louder bass than that produced by a same-sized round woofer.

KICKER Performance Audio products are designed, manufactured and marketed by Stillwater Designs of Stillwater, Okla. KICKER products are sold worldwide at more than 3,000 specialty audio retailers. KICKER Car Audio has served as the official supplier for Mopar since 2003.

KICKER Performance Audio products, a division of Stillwater Designs and Audio, Inc.®, are available for the mobile and home audio aftermarket at authorized dealers worldwide, and also through selected Original Equipment Manufacturers. Opel Insignia 2.0 CDTI

We spotted the Opel Insignia CDTI, which looks fantastic with its new design technology called ‘blade’. In India, Opel was discontinued since 2006 and was replaced with Chevrolet.

The Insignia is powered by a 2.0-litre engine, which is capable of delivering 160hp. It can travel at a max speed of 221 km/h and reaches 0-60 in 9.5 seconds.

It has been a long time since an Opel product cruised on Indian roads. Seeing the Insignia CDTI brought back memories of other illustrious products such as Corsa, Sail from Opel, which was once considered to be a competitive auto market leader in the country.

Stainless Steel 3-Piece Super Fine Mesh Style Grille for the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze

With the 2011 Cruze being one of Chevrolet's top sellers, they knew that they had to get a grille on the market for it fast. The Cruze is one of the most well equipped compacts cars on the market, offering all types of fabulous features and the Cruze is eco friendly, which E&G Classics love. The only thing the Cruze is really lacking is a beautiful grille to fill that empty space on the front end.

Take a look at the before and after shots of the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze and you will see how the addition of our super fine mesh grille can take the Cruze to new levels. Click on the photo above for more details.

Car Show Coverage: 2011 OC Car Show (10th Anniversary Bash)

OC (Ocean City, Maryland, not Orange County, California) had their annual car show bash a few weeks ago, and I was able to find some shots from the show.

The first three photos are from the actual OC Car Show folks, but the remainder of the photos are from carshowcoverage.com. Car Show Coverage do have some alright photos, the colors are as flat as a piece of paper and there's focus issues, but the composition, framing, etc is okay...

I see a lot of imports, but most importantly, I see some fully customized cars. Some of those cars looked familiar, like I've seen them in Englishtown. One day Ocean City, I'll be there....

Video: The Dub Magazine Project Coming July 10th

The hit-or-miss guys at Dub Magazine have a new TV series- The Dub Magazine Project, set to make its debut on July 10th. Somehow, I thought that the Funkmaster Flex show would have been like this show. Judging by the previews, the show appears to see a visual version of the magazine. One thing I can say about Dub is that they can present a great finished product (the magazine). Their events can use a little work, but that's a different story...

2003 - 2008 Mazda RX-8 - Bangalore

We spotted the 2003 - 2008 Mazda RX-8 in Bangalore. Mazda is known for building sport coupes with lightweight rotary engines called the Renesis, which sets the RX-8 apart from its competitors.

The Mazda RX-8 is no ordinary car, being powered by the RENESIS 13B-MSP (multi side port) Wankel rotary engine - displacing 1.3 litres non-turbo (1308 cc) producing 228bhp - one of its kind then. The RX-8 accelerates from 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds and has a top speed of 146mph.

Although the Mazda RX-8 has sports car looks combined with four-seat practicality, its behavior on the road is considerably quieter.

Its main competitors are Audi TT and Nissan 350Z.
