Mercedes-Benz R-Class spotted review

Big is an understatement for the new Mercedes-Benz R-350, yes, it’s huge! The R-350 is a 5+2-door wagon body styled MPV by Mercedes-Benz. The R-Class was first displayed at the 2001 Detroit Auto Show as the Vision GST (Grand Sports Tourer) concept and in 2005 New York International Auto Show a production version of the R-Class was displayed.

The technical specification of the R-350 includes a 3.5-liter V6 engine which blows out a massive 268hp from this big beast at 350nm and 2400 – 5000rpm. The R-Class comes with a 7G-Tronic transmission which helps the beast in achieving a top-speed of 230km/h and an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz R-Class upgrades include a power-adjustable tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel , panoramic sunroof,  a power liftgate, adaptive xenon HID headlights, a rear seat entertainment system, a navigation system and an iPod interface. Leather upholstery is not available on the R-Class, surprising!

The Mercedes Benz R-350 is priced around Rs. 66,00,000 /- in India.
