Butler Tire Shows off a Bentley Continental GT

Bentley GT with 22in MHT Vendetta Wheels

The guys at Butler Tire released photos of a brand spankin' new Bentley Continental GT sitting on some MHT Vendetta Wheels in 22 inches. Check out the photos and the commentary I have afterwards.

I like the wheels that were picked for this particular vehicle, because it compliments it and it doesn't cheapen the Bentley. With luxury and exotic vehicles, you gotta watch what wheels you choose because it can and will make a vehicle look inexpensive. Wheel design does make or break the look of the vehicle. Prime example: when you see Daytons on a SUV and on a Muscle Car. Don't believe me?

I compare wheel design to the plus size women that believe in wearing leggings and a tube top as an outfit (typically found in a mall in the hood). Just because they make it in your size, it doesn't mean that you should wear it, ESPECIALLY in public. But those Daytons above, that's a Louisville, KY thing. When I went to that "Funkmaster Flex" Car Show and saw vehicles like that sitting on Daytons, I wanted to cry. Like literally, wanted to cry. And since Louisville is close to Ohio, I'm gonna get on you guys too about that.

Oh no! Did this Bentley Continental have to suffer?

I don't like body kits. I'm a very aesthetic person and a firm believer that not everything is made for everything. Which brings me back to my issue with body kits. On the right vehicle, it'll look great.... on the RIGHT vehicle.

While on Forgiato's site, I came across a once beautiful Bentley Continental GT, with some bad modifications. Body kits and luxury cars do not mix well together. I feel it cheapens the vehicle, and who wants to cheapen a $200,000 car? The only thing I like happens to be the wheels- Forgiato 22″ Ottos.

Have I mentioned lately how much I despise body kits? This was almost as heartbreaking as Robinson Cano putting a body kit on a Range Rover...

Jessica Simpson parting ways with Bentley Continental GTC Mulliner

Jessica Simpson decided to get rid her three year old Bentley Continental GTC Mulliner edition via ebay. According to Eurocar (the seller), the exterior is finished in a metallic black while the leather is a light ivory fixed with black contrast stitching. Also adding a unique appeal to the interior is special ordered black piano wood and the Speed steering wheel. Every exterior panel is in pristine condition and the leather looks like it did when the car originally rolled off the showroom floor.

To continue with the specs, the car has 8700 miles (low milage car), it went through a 60 point inspection, was maintained by a Los Angeles' Bentley dealership, it doesn't have a clean record- the bumper needed spot-painting because it was backed into another vehicle.

Eurocar does offer attractive financing up to 96 months as well as the option of leasing your vehicle. If you're serious about taking this vehicle off their hands, and by serious, you're in the market for this car and you have more than $726 as your net worth, You can email them at sales@eurocaroc.com or give them a call at 949.722.7121.

I have to admit, the interior took my breath away. So gorgeous...

Nicki Minaj is One Generous Girl...

Awhile ago, I brought you "The Battle of the Pink Bentley" in which I gave the title to Paris Hilton. However, when Nicki purchased her Bentley Continental GT, she also bought one for her longtime hype man, Safaree aka SB.

They took both Bentleys to Roadstarr Motorsports in Los Angeles, CA, the same place where 50 Cent now takes his vehicles. Nicki had hers painted pink with a glossy finish and left the wheels chrome. According to Roadstarr, "He came up with the concept and with help of Roadstarr Motorsports Staff, this monstrous custom Bentley Continetal GT Matte Red with custom aerodynamic front bumper with custom interior and 22in wheels was the end result."

I'm just gonna say it, that front bumper is hideous and it cheapens the car. The matte red looks surprisingly gorgeous. Even though I hate the front bumper, the matte red Bentley looks better than Nicki's glossy Pink one.

P.S. He borrowed "Even though I hate it, they forced me to get the new Bentley" line from Jadakiss and 'Kiss said that 8 years ago

Bret Michaels selling Bentley Continental, Lincoln Navigator, and Ford Explorer at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction

Barrett-Jackson can be easily described as the world’s famous auto auction where they auction not just cars, but motorcycles, trucks, airplanes, and rock and roll memorabilia. Some celebrities have taken part by offering their prized possessions on four wheels. For instance- in 2008, Funkmaster Flex’s 2006 Ford Mustang GT was purchased for $300,000; in 2005, the famous aviator, Howard Hughes’ 1953 Buick Roadmaster was purchased for $1,500,000; and in 2007, the great Carroll Shelby’s 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake was purchased for the low, low price of $5,000,000. So you see that money is spent at this auction- ESPECIALLY if a car that Funkmaster Flex owned sold for more than the depreciated value.

No stranger to the Barrett-Jackson auction, Rock-n-Roller, Reality Star, and Car Enthusiast Bret Michaels has returned to auction three cars. His first donation was a 1969 Chevy Camaro SS equipped with an autographed guitar was snatched up for $200,000. This time, Bret is auctioning three vehicles, a 2004 Bentley Continental GT, a 2004 Lincoln Navigator and a 2011 Ford Explorer. I haven’t really followed the Barrett-Jackson auction, however no matter how new/used the Lincoln Navigator and Ford Explorer are, those particular vehicles will stand out like a sore thumb at this auction. In fact, I’m sure it would be the lowest selling vehicles in the history of the auction. Even the 2004 Bentley Continental GT isn’t a huge deal- how many celebrities own one?

According to the Barrett-Jackson press release, his 2004 Bentley Continental GT
(Lot #705.4, VIN SCBCR63W24C021428). The stunning, Moonbeam Silver car features a 6.0 Liter twin turbo W12, GPS navigation and premium package. Michaels is also selling his 2004 Lincoln Navigator (Lot #705.5, VIN 5LMFU28R24LJ31439), a true Rock Star vehicle as featured on Michaels' hit VH1 show, "Rock of Love." The 5.4 Liter V8 features leather interior and a DVD player. Finally, Michaels will sell his 2011 Ford Explorer (Lot #705.6, VIN 1FMHK7F80BGA18572) featured on his hit TV show "Life as I Know it." The Explorer features a navigation system, luxury package and V6 engine.

I’m dying to know how much the Ford Explorer and Lincoln Navigator will auction off for. Maybe one of the “Rock of Love” girls buy it… I’m wondering if Barrett-Jackson is the reason why DMX moved to Scottsdale, AZ- the same city as Barrett-Jackson’s headquarters.

Nicki Minaj vs. Paris Hilton: The Battle of the Pink Bentley

A few days ago, Nicki Minaj was seen leaving the Grammy Nominations Party in LA in a Pink Bentley Continental GT. However, it's not the first time Los Angeles has seen a Pink Bentley Continental GT driven by a famous woman. Paris Hilton does have the same car, customized to the same color, however the rest of the customizations were a little different. So I bring to you: The Battle of the Pink Bentley Continental GT.

Though the battle is between a 2012 one and 2007/2008 Bentley, I'm going with Paris' Bentley and here's why. Ever since Bentley introduced the Continental GT in 2003, I've wanted one... and I almost got one that year. (Interesting Marriage Proposal. Shhhhhh) What turned me onto the car was the body since I like curvy-looking cars. Boxy cars irk me to no end, that's why I can't stand the Rolls Royce Phantom. Then when Bentley refined the Continental GT, I was not happy. The front end looks good, but the rear was designed after the Mulsanne (The newer version of the Arnage a.k.a. The Boxy Bentley).

(Back of Nicki's Continental)
(Back of Paris' Continental)

Besides the canvas, the customizations were cohesive with Paris' Bentley. The color scheme carried into the interior of the car as well. Not only was the car pink, but so were the wheels, the trim on the grille, the dashboard, steering wheel, the accents on the seats, the side door panels, etc. And may I add the fact that she had the gear shift crystalized? Nicki's Bentley reminds me of Kim Kardashian's first Range Rover- the exterior doesn't match the interior. The customizations were only limited to the exterior.

Though I like Nicki, she was cool with me the times I met her, plus she's from Queens, NY, I'm rolling with Paris' Bentley. I should send Nicki the address and phone number to West Coast Customs. And Paris is donating her car to charity.

P.S. I'm still blaming Cam'ron for all this madness, since he started this mess back in 2006. But at least his Range Rover was DONE....

CEC Wheels' SEMA Recap

CEC Wheels released their SEMA recap, giving more details about specific wheels and how it compliments the car that's wearing them. I actually stopped by their booth and took a few photos, but I didn't have the opportunity to speak with someone. That's how popular their booth was. Maybe next year...

The star of the booth was Fisker Reserve by CEC tuning program for the Fisker Karma, making its North American debut. The Reserve by CEC package, as exhibited on a stunning pearlescent white Karma, combined an aggressive yet stylish aerodynamic package with exclusive, lightweight 22” staggered forged wheels finished in an exquisite matte white/matte machined finish. The Reserve styling options were tasteful and complemented the car's already dramatic styling perfectly. The white Karma gleamed on stage while surrounded by four additional show cars, all draped in contrasting black. The overall effect offered by this contrast was dramatic and left a lasting impression.

CEC was proud to unveil the World Premiere of the ACS6 by AC Schnitzer based on the 2012 BMW 650i Coupe at SEMA 2011. This beautiful work-of-art illustrated the attention to detail that only a tuner like AC Schnitzer can appoint. The subtle craftsmanship was appreciated and very well received by show goers. The ACS6 sat on 21” ACS Type VIII Forged wheels with 21" Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires also donning front and rear ACS spoilers. The car also featured the ACS exhaust system and the chrome front grill treatment.

CEC is renown for making premium light alloy wheels and this is made apparent by the other three cars on display. These cars were outfitted only with CEC wheels, showing the dramatic distinction the right set of wheels can make on a car. CEC showcased a new 2012 Bentley GT Mulliner fitted on one side with our 21” CEC C883 Forged Italian wheels, utilizing the factory tires. On the other side was a more aggressive setup showcasing our 22” CEC C881 wheel in the matte black/machined finish.

The next car was a 2012 Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid with our new for 2012 CEC C883 SUV wheel, sized 22"x10", wrapped in 295/30-22 Michelin Diamaris rubber . We chose to show the C883 on both sides of the Cayenne, featuring two different finishes, matte black/machined and our cutting edge, trend setting Magic Black/machined finish. Magic Black looks and feels like black chrome, but is actually a very special paint process, combined with diamond-cut, machined face lines, creating a unique and brilliant finish that is more durable than chrome. It looks amazing and is best appreciated in person.

The final car featured in the CEC booth was a 2012 Mercedes Benz CLS63 AMG with 20" staggered CEC C883 in matte black/machined on one side and 20” staggered c882 in matte gunmetal/machined on the other. Both sides were outfitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires in 255/30-20 and 295/25-20 sizing. The unique finishes complemented this car nicely and all agreed that this CLS looked phenomenal with nothing more than a wheel and tire upgrade.

It always helps when companies bring cars to show how their products look on a vehicle.

Bernie's Favorite: Jon "Bones" Jones' First New Car.

Some of us can only dream about having your dream car as your first new car. In some cases, like Jon "Bones" Jones, your dream car will make the perfect first new car that you've purchased.

The youngest champion in UFC History (according to his twitter) will always grant you rewards. One perk would be the ability to afford to purchase a 2012 Bentley Continental GT (MSRP $190,000) from Bentley of Las Vegas, and as proof...

He wanted to make sure that you know that he bought it.

Of course this is marked "Bernie's Favorite" because of the car, not the athlete. If it's not Robinson Cano and the rest of the New York Yankees, then it's over my head.
